Description
Music / Grades 3–6 / Period 3 / RP / 1T-2T-3T
In this class students will learn how to read music and to work together as they sing and play in a variety of ensembles together. As the students sing, play in a world music drumming ensemble, and play in a boomwhacker ensemble (pitched tubes whose sounds are produced by hitting them against another object), they will learn various forms and genres throughout history, from ancient to modern music. This class performs at the annual open house in April. This course will be graded, and minimal homework will be given.
