Description
Music / Grades 3-5 / Period 3 / RP / 1T-2T-3T
Elementary Music (3-5)
In this class, students will learn how to read music and work together as they learn to play the recorder. The recorder teaches students to read music, develops hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, will develop students’ musical skills, and can be successfully played well, which promotes self-confidence and a love of learning. In addition to learning the recorder, this class will promote music appreciation through the study of each era in music history from ancient to modern music, focusing on various composers from each era. This course will be graded, and minimal homework will be given. This class will perform at the annual open house in April.
